  5. The  \notereferencegutter  command  is  always used  in  conjunction  with  the
  6. \endnoteformat (\enf) command,  and will determine the amount  of space between
  7. the endnote reference number and the text  of the endnotes.  The format for the
  8. \notereferencegutter command is:                                               
  9.                                                                                
  10.           \endnoteformat{                                                      
  11.           \notereferencegutter{xx}                                             
  12.           }                                                                    
  13.                                                                                
  14. Where  "xx" is  any  number and  valid  TeX measurement  (in,  pc, pts,  etc.).
  15. \notereferencegutter{1em} is the default and will  give one emspace between the
  16. endnote reference numbers and the text of the notes.
